Useful Troubleshooting Tips for Mozilla Firefox


Nowadays, there are many well-known as well as effective browsers available in the market, but I have chosen Mozilla Firefox web browser out of them, due to its advanced and interesting features. I have browsing internet using this beautiful browser since long time back, but last week, it seemed that I was confronting some technical issues. My internet’s speed was very slow, and was unable to browse websites. To get the quick resolution, I consulted a third party technical support organization to get it resolved, and found some useful resolution steps. Here are some of the Mozilla Firefox troubleshooting steps, which can be used to resolve, most of the common issues:
·         Restarting your System and Clear Cache Memory: The first step to get rid of any browser related issue is to restart the system and clear its cache memory by following the below mentioned steps:
o   Click on the tools menu, which is situated on the top of Firefox window, and select the option namely “Clear Recent History”.
o   Next, In “Clear Recent History” pop-up window, select “Everything option” in the drop down named as “Clear Recent History”.
o   Click on the arrow, situated next to the text “Detail”, and check the checkboxes “cookies” and “cache”. Then, click the button “Clear Now”.

·         Try to update the Plugins Regularly: We all may have different requirements of various plug-ins as per our business needs. But apart from using plugins it is necessary to update them on the regular intervals, as out of date plugins may hamper the performance of your browser. You can update them by clicking on “Tools”, and under it, click on “Options”. After that, click on the button “Manage Add on” to locate the option for updating plugins.

·          Viruses and Spywares: According to a recent research, it is found that most of the browser’s related issues occur due viruses and spywares as well. So it is advised to keep your antivirus updated too.  

Conversely, if your browser crashes while taking printouts, then you may need to reinstall or update the drivers of your printer.
